Clayton can provide a wide choice of fungicides for early disease control in the critical autumn window as young crops are establishing. Achieving good crop establishment to maximise yields relies on effective, early-season control of problem diseases like Light leaf spot and Phoma. Using reliable, high-performance formulations will help growers minimise the damaging impact of early disease infection in crops, which can be especially important in crops which have suffered or just grown away from Flea beetle damage.
Watch out for disease signs:
As two of the most damaging diseases in autumn-sown crops, closely monitor Phoma and Light leaf spot for spray thresholds in the September to October period and treat where required using broad-spectrum protective, systemic fungicides with straight or co-formulated options. The Phoma treatment threshold is when 10-20% of plants are infected (use lower threshold on more susceptible varieties and/or where plants are small) and the Light leaf spot treatment threshold is as soon as infection is seen (and confirmed).
Benchmark fungicide choices:
Clayton Navaro® is a one product solution for early autumn disease control and will help growers achieve the best start. As a reliable, powerful EC co-formulation containing 125g/l prothioconazole and 125g/l tebuconazole, it targets both Light leaf spot and Phoma, with an additional beneficial growth regulatory effect on forward crops.
Other leading fungicide choices from Clayton include Clayton Trellis® a Prothioconazole-based co-formulation, Clayton Tuskar® a straight prothioconazole formulation and Clayton Tebucon® 250EW a cost-effective tebuconazole formulation.
