Start planning ahead for T1 cereal fungicides!

Posted on 23 March 2022

Clayton Plant Protection would encourage growers and agronomists to assess fields for disease risk or signs of infection and start planning ahead their T1 fungicide programme in good time, especially in fields where T0 applications were not made. Consideration should be made to ensure good resistance management practice at this key timing when choosing active ingredients.

With recent warmer daytime temperatures, crop development will start to move quickly over the remaining March period, and forward, early drilled winter crops will soon be approaching GS31.

Clayton have a range of different fungicides choices available to growers suitable for T1 applications, including triazoles (straights and co-formulations), strobilurins and a specialist mildewicide.
