Rising farm input cost findings highlight the need to utilise cost-effective crop protection chemistry this season.

AHDB have recently reported 43% increases in input costs for arable and mixed farms based primarily on sharp rises in costs for fuels, machinery and fertilisers. According to research carried out by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board between December 2019 and May 2024, the significant increases in farm input costs were calculated based on typical costs incurred by farms and have changed in line with inflation.
Clayton would encourage visitors at this year’s Croptec Show to come to stand 2.300 and talk to the Clayton team about their crop protection product choices this coming spring. Clayton has a wide selection of reliable, cost-effective herbicides and fungicides available for use in different crops including cereals, oilseed rape, potatoes, pulses, maize and grassland. These products can form the basis or platform for effective weed and disease control this spring whilst helping to optimise cost inputs for growers at the same time to help returns.
The Clayton team look forward to welcoming visitors to their stand (Stand No. 2.300) on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th November. We can’t wait to see you there.
