Exhibiting at the CropTec Event this November, Clayton Plant Protection offers agronomists and farmers valuable choice from its rapidly expanding portfolio of own-label generic products. With the ability to adapt very quickly to a dynamic regulatory landscape and industry challenges, Clayton are successfully developing, manufacturing and marketing a valuable generic range of products under the same strict authorisation requirements as the original products. This guarantees its customers the highest quality formulations and performance in the field. In addition, Clayton also market and distribute a growing range of generic products on behalf of other crop protection manufacturers. Through in-house development and expanding partnerships Clayton expects to see it’s generic range double to around 25 products over the next 12 months.

Our current range of leading generic plant protection products has been developed by working in partnership with a dedicated network of regulatory consultants and formulation experts across Europe and globally, a process managed by Regulatory Affairs Manager, Ian Flanagan. Reliable supply of quality raw materials is secured through our growing network of suppliers and consultants in all key global markets” says Dave O’Mahony, Managing Director.

Flufenacet based products already feature in the Clayton range with core brands Clayton Facet and Clayton Sabre (400g/litre flufenacet + 100g/litre DFF) complemented by the straight flufenacet product, Clayton Tacit (480g/litre flufenacet). For autumn weed control these flufenacet based products are supported by Prosulfocarb based, Clayton Comply and Diflufenican based, Clayton El Nino.

New for 2020 to add to our generic herbicide range we have recently received approval for new products Clayton Cob (100g/litre mesotrione) for use in maize and Clayton Mizen (700g/kg metribuzin) for use in Potatoes. We also expect to achieve approval for a formulation containing Quizalofop-p-Ethyl for use in oilseed rape, pulses, potatoes and sugar beet by the end of 2019” continues Dave O’Mahony.

Other important molecules in our short term development pipeline include the fungicide prothioconazole, both straight and in mixture with tebuconazole, the growth regulator trinexapac, and herbicides metsulfuron-methyl, clomazone, clethodim, metamitron and an alternative ratio flufenacet + DFF mixture. These new products, together with our existing range of generic, parallel and third party products coupled with our customer service focus will ensure an increasingly competitive offer for our distributor customers, agronomists and growers in the coming seasons.” says Will Ridgwell, Sales & Marketing Manager.

Clayton look forward to welcoming all existing and potential future customers to join us at CropTec to learn more about our rapidly expanding range. We are in Hall 1, Stand 1.1.
