Clayton: Parallels – too good to lose?
Posted on 27 February 2023
Parallels:
- Fill gaps where product shortages occur
- Act as a pricing regulator, offering better value
- Enable more sourcing options for agronomists and distributors
- Increase the range of crop protection options available to growers
Currently, following the UK’s departure from the EU, the last date for sales of parallels is 30th June 2023 (final use 30th June 2024) and whilst the pharmaceutical and other industries will continue to be able to parallel import products from the EU, the crop protection sector will not… this will only add to and exacerbate the challenges growers/farmers already face at a time when global supply chain issues, energy costs and climate change are significantly affecting the ability to grow food sustainably and profitably.
